TOMATILLO CILANTRO LIME SALSA

TOMATILLO CILANTRO LIME SALSA

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup raw or roasted (optional) tomatillos, mashed
  • 1-2 or more habanero, mashed (enjoy as spicy as you like!)
  • 1/4 cashews, mashed
  • 1 small ripe avocado
  • 1 cup chopped cilantro
  • 3-4 small limes, juiced
  • 1/4 cup of  avocado oil, organic liquid coconut oil, extra virgin olive
  • 1 Tbsp maple syrup, agave, or honey if not vegan
  • 1 clove
  • 1/4 tsp each sea salt, cumin, cayenne pepper, cinnamon
  • Water (as needed)

PREPARATION

  1. Add all ingredients (except for the tomatillo,  the habanero, and the cashews.
  2. Blend and add water to thin and scrape down sides as needed. 
  3. It’s time to taste! Adjust seasoning as needed, adding more habanero if you prefer it spicier, salt if you think it needs it, cinnamon if you like the taste of it (like me), and more maple syrup as desired. 
  4. Transfer to a serving dish.
  5. Pour on top of any of your favorite Alpha Foods and scream with me 5 DE MAYO FIESTA!

TATI TIP: 

  • Salsa can be stored in a covered container, in the fridge for up to 7 days! Enjoy the leftover :)
